Staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: A Dream Come True

There are Disney stays… and then there are Grand Floridian stays. On our recent trip, we had the joy of calling Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa “home,” and it truly felt like stepping into a world of timeless elegance wrapped in pure Disney charm. The moment we walked into the iconic and newly renovated lobby—with its soaring white pillars, sparkling chandeliers, and live music drifting through the air—we knew we were in for something unforgettable.

A Beautifully Renovated Resort with Mary Poppins Magic

The recent renovations have elevated this resort into a breathtaking blend of classic charm and elevated elegance. Our Mary Poppins–themed room was pure magic—bright, whimsical, and filled with subtle nods to the beloved story. The elegant colors and playful artwork created a calming, storybook-like retreat.

One of our favorite parts of the room? Our beautiful balcony. Each morning, we stepped outside to enjoy peaceful views and a quiet moment before the parks. We even sat out there and enjoyed pastries—just soaking in the beauty of the resort and savoring that “I’m really here” feeling. It quickly became one of the highlights of our stay.

Dining Highlights: Gasparilla Island Grill & 1900 Park Fare

We found ourselves at Gasparilla Island Grill often thanks to its convenience and delicious offerings. Our top pick? The flatbread pizzas—warm, fresh, and perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. Whether we grabbed coffee and breakfast before the monorail or a late-night bite, Gasparilla never disappointed.

Earlier this year before our cruise on the Disney Wish, we visited the Grand for dinner and our experience at 1900 Park Fare was equally magical. This refreshed character dining experience feels magical, welcoming, and so full of life. We had the chance to meet Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Tiana, each bringing their own special energy to the room. The interactions were wonderful, and the food offered a great variety for everyone at the table. I highly recommend the lavender lemonade!

Monorail Magic: Effortless Disney Transportation

The convenience of being on the monorail loop can’t be overstated. Being steps away from transportation to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT made our days smoother and more enjoyable. It’s one of the biggest perks of staying at the Grand—and one we definitely took advantage of.

Fun in the Sun: Alice in Wonderland Splash Pad & Pools

For downtime, the resort truly shines. The Alice in Wonderland–themed splash pad was a huge hit—playful, whimsical, and perfect for kids to cool off. The pools were just as inviting, offering plenty of space to relax, swim, and enjoy the Florida sunshine.

A Stay Filled with Luxury, Magic, and Pure Disney Delight

From the beautifully renovated, Mary Poppins–inspired rooms to the magical dining experiences, relaxing balcony mornings, and effortless monorail transportation, our stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was everything we hoped it would be—and more. It’s the kind of resort that stays with you long after checkout.

If you’re dreaming of your own Grand Floridian getaway, I’d love to help you start planning the magic!
